Comparison of Lifestyle, Coping Strategies with Stress and Resilience in Women with Breast Cancer and Healthy Women

Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women that have many effects on psychological health. The aim of this study was to compare lifestyle, coping strategies with stress and resilience in women with breast cancer and healthy women. 
Methods: This study was a causal-comparative study in which 30 women with breast cancer along with 30 healthy women referred to hospitals affiliated to Qom University of Medical Sciences by purposive sampling were choose in two groups were homogeneous in terms of demographic characteristics. Research data were collected through resilience questionnaire, lifestyle questionnaire, and stress coping and by SPSS-26 software and independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Fisher's exact t-test were analyzed. 
Results: The analysis of the findings showed that among the coping strategies, problem-oriented coping style is the most common coping strategy among the subjects with an average of 56.97 and standard deviation of 8.228. Also, the results of t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the resilience of women with breast cancer and healthy women (P<0/05) that the resilience of women with breast cancer was higher than healthy women. 
Conclusions: Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that breast cancer leads to a difference between the two groups of patients and healthy in terms of resilience and high resilience in women with breast cancer, can help their adaptation.
