Methods: In this analytical-cross-sectional study, 384 patients with cancer were selected in hospitals affiliated to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Data were collected by Health Literacy and Post-Traumatic Growth questionnaires. Their validity and reliability were confirmed. Data analysis were used by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Pearson correlation and ANOVA in SPSS 22 software.
Results: According to findings, the lowest and the most average of Post-Traumatic Growth scores were related to dimensions of new possibilities (2.04) and spiritual changes (3.84). Also, the lowest and highest mean of Health Literacy scores were in reading area (2.99) and comprehension domain (4.06) respectively. The average total score of Post-Traumatic Growth and Health Literacy was 3.1 and 3.68, respectively. There was a significant and positive correlation between Post-Traumatic Growth and Health Literacy in patients with cancer.

Introduction: Patients with breast cancer who have two positive axillary lymph nodes, along with mastectomy, they undergo axillary node dissection. Lymphedema after axillary surgery is a feared complication. This women experience pain and body image impairments. Any intervention to reduce lymphedema, affects the body image of these patients.
Method: This study is a randomized, single-blind clinical trial that 112 women with breast cancer related lymphedema participated. After collecting data through a questionnaire of body image and relationships scale, the community was randomly divided in to experimental (54) and control (n = 58) groups. For the experimental group, Combined Decongestive Therapy and pneumatic compression pump was performed by an educated nurse, twice a week for six consecutive months. The control group was placed on the waiting list to be treated after the end of intervention in the experimental group. At the end of intervention, two groups completed the questionnaire again. Data was analyzed in SPSS software (version 17).
Findings:After the intervention the mean score of health and strength, social barriers and appearance and sexuality as well as total score in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group, which was significant except for social barriers in the other factors (p˂ 0.05). The highest mean increase was observed in the health and strength fact.
conclusion: The results showed that combined decongestive therapy and compression pump are effective on the body image and social interactions in the patients, which affects the body image of patients more than their social interactions. Therefore, combined decongestive therapy and pneumatic compression pump along with psychological interventions are recommended to reduce the physical and psychological complications in these patients.

Introduction: Bladder cancer is one of the most common causes of malignancy. The eighth cause of death is due to cancer and is responsible for three percent of the total tumors. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of drinking water nitrate on bladder cancer in Larestan.
Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study in which two types of data are used. Blood cancer data from Larestan Health Center and nitrate data collected from Larestan rural water and sewage company. The standardized incidence rate of 1000 people was prepared for each separate section and the disease zoning map was based on this indicator in three groups of low risk, medium and high risk in GIS. The nitrate concentration map was prepared by interpolation method in GIS. Finally, using Pearson correlation in SPSS, the relationship between uric acid and nitric oxide was studied.
Results: Bladder cancer is the third most common cancer in Larestan province with 58.3% in men and 41.7 in women. The main focal points of the disease in the city are the Saharany Bagh and Byram departments, respectively. The main concentration of nitrate in the parts of the Evaz, the Saharay Bagh and Byram. Comparison of these focuses with the concentration map of nitrate of drinking water (areas with nitrate between 20-45 mg / l) showed that these areas coincide (with correlation coefficient r = 764 and p = 0.038).
Conclusion: Considering the association between nitrate and bladder cancer in this study. Therefore, a more detailed study of the subject in terms of water elements and other factors affecting bladder cancer is necessary.

Introduction: There are few studies about the role of personality in predicting cancer-related clinical-psychological symptoms. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the role of behavioral brain systems in predicting clinical psychological symptoms in cancer patients.
Methods: The present research is descriptive-correlational. A sample of 100 patients with cancer was selected using available sampling method. To evaluate variables, Carver and White (1994), BIS/BAS Scales and Symptom Checklist-25 (SCl-25), were used respectively. Data were analyzed using SPSS-20 software and Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression tests.
Results: The findings showed that there was a significant positive correlation between behavioral activation system and paranoid thoughts (P <0/01) and negative correlation with depression (P <0/01). There is also a positive relationship between the inhibition system and all of the psychological symptoms.
Conclusion: Brain-behavioral systems can predict the psychological symptoms in cancer patients. By identifying these systems, it is possible to identify patients who are susceptible to psychological symptoms and take preventive measures.
